Project Architect
Perth Studio
Hunt Architects is seeking a Project Architect to work with a leading multi-disciplinary design firm based in our growing Perth Studio.
Position Summary
Hunt Architects is looking for a Project Architect to work in our city based Perth Studio. The right candidate will need to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience, a focus on quality design outcomes, and a background of successfully delivering projects. This permanent position is for a design focused Project Architect who is looking for the opportunity to utilise their all round skills and to take their career to the next level. We are seeking a candidate who would like to grow their site experience and work closely with the Principals’ and leadership team.
You will need to have proven project delivery experience, the ability to lead projects and teams, and be a strong client facing architect. Your passion for driving projects and teams will be evident as will your technical resolution skills. You will be mentored to deliver an exciting range of projects through to completion. If you have a solid work background and are capable of running small to medium scale projects, from design through to construction, then we would be keen to hear from you. This is a position for those looking to progress, and be actively involved in a studio committed to producing well resolved design outcomes.

Applicant Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture.
- Advanced Revit skills required.
- Strong construction detailing expertise.
- Building & construction industry experience needed.
- State Government project experience preferred,
- Essential experience with IFT and IFC documentation.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Medium to large scale project experience.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards & NCC
Role Expectations:
- Leadership and Team Support: Report to the Principal and to lead a team on projects valued from $1M to over $100M.
- Design and Presentation: Produce designs, presentations and working drawings across various sectors.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with the project’s team, architects, consultants, and external contractors to ensure seamless project progress.
- Client Liaison: Proactive management and communication with the client to build a strong rapport.
- Mentorship and Development: Mentor junior team members, focusing on upskilling and team coordination.
- Construction Detailing Expertise: Apply a strong knowledge of high-quality construction detailing and understanding of the relevant codes and NCC.
- Documentation Preparation: Prepare documentation including issue for Development Application, Tender and Construction.
- Revit Expertise: Demonstrate advanced Revit modelling skills for accurate project representation, and documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks at each project stage to maintain standards.
- Documentation Management: Oversee the management of project documentation.
- Site Administration: Ability to deliver projects on site, respond to RFI’s review shop drawings and coordinate consultant teams
- Team Management: Ability to effectively manage the project team, deliverables and financial performance.
