What interests you the most about our industry/field?
“I am particularly interested in the role of architecture in urban regeneration. While this is a pressing issue in Italy, I believe it is also highly relevant in Australia, especially given the current housing shortage and the need to transform suburban areas into more integrated and vibrant communities. Architecture has the potential to create spaces that are socially inclusive, environmentally responsible, and responsive to contemporary urban challenges.”
What is an industry topic that interests you at the moment?
“I am particularly interested in the role of place-making and community engagement in contemporary architecture. Beyond delivering functional buildings, I believe architecture should contribute to a strong sense of identity and belonging. Projects that involve communities in the design process not only respond better to local needs but also foster inclusivity and pride of place. When architecture actively listens and engages, it has the power to transform urban areas into vibrant, meaningful environments.“
