Tucked away in the Perth Hills, the Boya Oval Community Hub has become the heart of the Boya community. This multi-use facility is a community centre and library offering a a versatile 300m² room for hire, easily divisible into two separate spaces with dividing doors, complete with a kitchen/servery, making it ideal for a range of social and community
functions, workshops, and gatherings. From community meetings to cultural events, the hub accommodates various activities that enrich the social fabric of Boya. With a maximum capacity of 90 people for each hall when hired individually or a capacious 180 people for one large hall, the Boya Community Centre ensures flexibility for events of various sizes.
The notable architectural feature of the Boya Oval Community Hub lies is the singular, unifying skillion roof form which encapsulates all functional spaces which provides a cohesive aesthetic. Window reveals which vibrant colour insets create a point of difference and interest. Overlooking the sports oval, this design enhances the connection with the natural surroundings, creating a harmony between modern infrastructure and the picturesque Perth Hills.
The Shire of Mundaring, Hunt Architects and Badge Construction simultaneously worked together to ensure that the existing tennis pavilion, courts, change rooms, and oval remained operational throughout the construction period.
