The Hamer Park & Moyle Pavilion redevelopment reimagines a well-loved precinct, transforming it into a resilient and versatile sporting hub. By delivering shared, adaptable facilities, it ensures that the precinct continues to thrive as a place of recreation, connection, and community pride for generations to come.
The Hamer Park & Moyle Pavilion project upgrades one of Inglewood’s most established sporting precincts, delivering modern, flexible facilities for clubs, spectators, and the wider community.
Upgrading an Established Sporting Precinct
Recognising the need to revitalise ageing club facilities, Hunt Architects prepared a comprehensive master plan that strategically positioned two new pavilions to serve a diverse range of sporting clubs and age groups. These facilities replace outdated infrastructure with adaptable, multi-functional spaces that enhance the spectator experience and connect seamlessly with the surrounding parkland.
Shared Facilities, Greater Flexibility
The two new pavilions are designed to accommodate multiple clubs and seasonal sports, ensuring they remain relevant and highly utilised throughout the year. Flexible layouts, modern amenities, and carefully considered circulation create inclusive, comfortable environments for players, officials, spectators, and community groups.

Design in Harmony with the Landscape
The architectural response prioritises integration with the natural environment, blending new buildings into the existing park setting. Large verandahs, shaded viewing areas, and open connections between indoor and outdoor spaces enhance amenity while maintaining a clear relationship to the surrounding landscape.
A Stronger Community Hub
The project outcomes extend beyond upgraded sporting infrastructure. The new pavilions support healthier, more active lifestyles by providing safe, functional, and welcoming spaces that encourage community use. They strengthen cohesion among diverse sporting clubs while creating social spaces that promote interaction, belonging, and a shared sense of ownership.
