Alchera Living’s transformative project, “The Reserve,” introduces thirty-six Independent Living Apartments, marking a crucial phase in the village redevelopment.
Approaching The Reserve at Alchera Living, the contemporary form stands out through the use of modern materials like metal cladding and frameless glass while still integrating into the established neighborhood context. The layered façade utilizes shifting planes and balcony lines to create visual interest.
Inside, the contemporary aesthetic is carried through to the lobby with polished concrete floors and a neutral color palette accented by warm wood tones in the joinery and finishes. The lobby design establishes an inviting sense of arrival for residents and guests.
In designing the 36 freestanding independent living apartments, abundant natural light and ease of movement were prime considerations. Floor-to-ceiling windows stretch the interior spaces outward to connect with sunlight and treetop views. The interior layouts feature intuitive wayfinding with wide corridors and minimal turns easing navigation throughout.
Understanding the evolving needs of residents, we built in flexibility through open floor plans and a design facilitating future adaptations if required. Details like the provision for grab rails and lever-style door handles address accessibility considerations.

Shared amenities are thoughtfully placed, including dining and lounge spaces opening to landscaped courtyard garden areas. The wellness center grants access to a fully-equipped gym, ideal for activity and fostering community connections between residents.
We believe the resident-focused design of The Reserve provides best-in-class senior living and establishes Alchera Living as a welcome and modern aged care community.
