East Coast Expansion: Melbourne Studio Launch

We are excited to announce that Melbourne will be joining our established studios in Perth and Sydney. This expansion milestone has been a long time in the making and is reflective of our ambition to better serve our clients across the eastern states of Australia.

Historically, Hunt Architects have managed our Melbourne projects out of our Sydney studio. While this approach has served us well, today, we are delighted to be on the ground in Melbourne – ready to deliver exceptional architectural, master planning and interior solutions. The opening of our Melbourne studio aligns with our broader business goals of expanding our footprint along the east coast. By establishing a stronger presence in the eastern states, we aim to build closer client relationships, expand our Melbourne projects and swiftly respond to our current project needs.

Introducing our Melbourne Studio Principal – Will Lakin.

With over 30 years of experience, Will’s leadership will be instrumental in spearheading the Victoria expansion with the launch of our Melbourne studio. As an accomplished architect and master planner, Will boasts a portfolio of award-winning projects spanning the UK, China, and Australia.

Will’s passion lies in community-centric projects, where he emphasises a holistic approach to sustainability and integrating a legacy of pre-existing architecture. Beyond practice, Will is dedicated to shaping the future of architecture through his involvement in academia and public advisory roles.

Having lived on the east coast for over 15 years, Mark brings a wealth of expertise in developing businesses within this region, coupled with a deep understanding of Melbourne’s vibrant architecture and design scene.
