The Hunt Prize 2027: Applications Now Open
Applications are now open for The Annual Hunt Prize 2027, a $10,000 award supporting Curtin University students continuing their studies in Architecture or Interior Architecture. The Hunt Prize reflects our long-standing partnership with Curtin University and our shared commitment to supporting emerging design talent. Beyond academic achievement, the prize recognises students who are broadening their understanding of design and its role in shaping our communities. The successful recipient will also have the opportunity to gain industry experience through a paid internship with Hunt Architects.
Who Can Apply?
You are eligible to apply if you have successfully completed your 3rd year at Curtin University and are continuing into either:
- Interior Architecture – 4th Year Honours Degree
- Architecture – 4th & 5th Year Master of Architecture
The Hunt Prize is looking for students who have excelled in their 3rd year and are also broadening their understanding of architecture, interior architecture and design beyond their academic studies. This could include interests, experiences or activities that have helped develop your design thinking, skills, or understanding of how design contributes to our communities.
What Do You Need to Submit?
Your application should include:
- A short introduction about yourself, how you are broadening your understanding of design, and how the Hunt Prize would support your studies and development.
- A portfolio of recent student work that demonstrates your approach to architecture, interior architecture and design.
The successful recipient should also be available to undertake a paid internship with Hunt Architects.
What the Prize Includes
$10,000 award and a paid internship with Hunt Architects, providing the successful recipient with valuable industry experience alongside their studies.
- Interior Architecture: $5,000 at the beginning of 4th year and $5,000 upon completion of the Honours degree.
- Architecture: $5,000 at the beginning of 4th year and $5,000 at the beginning of 5th year.
