Hunt Architects Officially Joins the Reconciliation Australia RAP Network

Hunt Architects is proud to announce that we have officially been accredited by Reconciliation Australia and are now recognised as a member of the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) network. This milestone marks an important moment in the continued evolution of our practice and reflects a genuine commitment to listening, learning, and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.

Our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan formalises this commitment and provides a framework for how we will continue to grow our cultural understanding, embed respectful practices within our business, and contribute positively to a more inclusive and equitable future.

A Meaningful Step Forward
The development of our Reflect RAP has been a significant journey for our team. It has involved thoughtful conversations, education, reflection, and collaboration across the practice. While this is only the beginning of our journey, it represents an important step in acknowledging the responsibility we hold as designers of places, spaces, and communities.

We recognise that the built environment has the power to shape experiences, identity, connection, and belonging. Through our RAP, we are committing to strengthening our understanding of Country, culture, and community, and ensuring these considerations are embedded meaningfully into our practice and the way we work.

Gratitude for the Process
We would like to thank Reconciliation Australia for their guidance, support, and thoroughness throughout the accreditation process. Developing our RAP has been an incredibly valuable experience for our practice and has encouraged meaningful learning and conversations across our team. We also extend our gratitude to our RAP Working Group — whose dedication, time, and passion have helped bring this important initiative to life. Their commitment has played a critical role in shaping the foundations of our RAP and guiding the practice through this process.

What Comes Next
Achieving Reflect RAP accreditation is not the end of the journey — it is the beginning. As a practice, we are committed to continuing the work by:

  • Building stronger and more meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations
  • Continuing cultural learning and education across our team
  • Embedding cultural understanding into our design thinking and project delivery processes
  • Creating opportunities for ongoing dialogue, reflection, and accountability within the practice
  • Exploring how our projects and partnerships can contribute positively to community and Country

We understand that reconciliation is an ongoing process that requires commitment, humility, and action. Our RAP provides a foundation for this work and will continue to guide how we learn, grow, and evolve as a practice.
